Praetorian Guardby *N-Deed

Roman Praetorian Guard...or at least that's where I started from

I don't really know if he can be classified anymore and I didn't want to keep him very close to the original either.

What I had in mind was a roman warrior, a Praetorian in my case, able to show both elegance and agility without sacrificing any of the aspects of a fearsome warrior.

I think this is good and his overall look is true to your image..as far as the helmet mohawk there are lots of guys in my area sporting these all the time!!

It's a nice painting but only the helmet looks praetorian. The other items look like a greek hoplite, but you already stated yourself that it was just a starting point

Anyways, still a nice piece of work.
If you are looking for good references, check out the re-enactment groups, lots of nice pictures to be found there.
